My Favorite Vegan, Gluten Free Bars

October 7, 2017

Of course, it’s ideal to eat whole foods but I like to carry backup because no one likes a hangry hippie, especially a high maintenance one! I truly believe that nothing packaged and processed is perfect, but some of these bars come pretty close compared to others on the market. Here are some of my fave V&GF bars for when I’m in a pinch:

  1. Raw Revolution

My favorite flavor is The Chocolate Crave (Go figure, since I’m a full blown chocoholic). These are totally raw, free of preservatives and artificial ingredients which is so rare in a packaged bar that doesn’t need to be refridgerated.

2. 22 days

These taste like dessert and are full of organic superfoods. For those of you worried about getting enough protein, they have 20g which is over 1/3 of what most people need per day.

Where to buy:

CVS or https://www.22daysnutrition.com/protein-bars.php

3. Go Macro

The pretty pakaging totally represents the vibrant ingredients inside. These cold-pressed nut butter based bars are so chewy and yummy without any yucky fillers.

Where to buy:

most grocery stores or https://gomacro.com/shop/product-category/macrobars/

4. No Cow Bar

Because their slogan, “No cow- No Bull, No Whey!” just speaks to me. No Cow bars are proof plant protein is better than animal protein.

Where to buy:

GNC, Vitamin Shoppe, or https://nocow.com

5. PureFit

If you always have a Quest bar on hand but don’t want to eat animal products anymore, here is your better-than-whey replacement. Similar texture to Quest bars but much better flavor and no chemically taste.

Where to buy:

https://purefit.com

6. Planet Protein

These bars are not only vegan and non-gmo, but they are palm oil free which is so important to the health of our planet. I love supporting a sustainably responsible company; especially when their bars are protein packed deliciousness.
